Compliance & trust

The trust fortress.

Everything you need to satisfy an auditor, an inspector, or your own board that this system holds up — from MRA fiscalisation to data protection registration.

MRA-registered EBS provider

Innovage is a registered Electronic Billing System provider with the Mauritius Revenue Authority, aligned with the VAT (e-Invoicing) Regulations and MRA specifications. Every invoice issued through Innovage is fiscalised in real time, returned with an Invoice Reference Number and a QR code, and preserved in a record an inspector can verify.

Real-time fiscalisation · IRN + QR

The EBS transmits invoice data in real time to the MRA. Once validated, the MRA returns an Invoice Reference Number (IRN) and a QR code, which are printed or shown on the invoice issued to the customer. This applies to invoices, credit notes and debit notes.

Records integrity

Every issuance, transmission, and adjustment is attributable, timestamped, and immutable. The history of a document is part of the document.

Data protection — controller & processor

Innovage is registered with the Mauritius Data Protection Office as a data controller and as a data processor under the Data Protection Act 2017. Personal data is processed on lawful bases, with encryption in transit and at rest, principle-of-least-privilege access controls, and full audit logging of sensitive actions.

Continuity posture

Documented continuity posture for a system your business cannot stop using — including backup discipline, recovery objectives, and procedures stated to your finance lead in plain terms ({{REPLACE: specific SLA % and RPO/RTO once contracted}}).

Premium support — Mauritius-based

Dedicated onboarding for both businesses and accounting firms, named contacts, and response-time commitments ({{REPLACE: support hours, response time targets}}). Onboarding the next cohort of Mauritian customers — selectively.

Frequently asked

Is Innovage a registered EBS provider with the MRA?

Yes. Innovage is registered with the Mauritius Revenue Authority as an Electronic Billing System provider. Every invoice issued through the platform is fiscalised in real time and returned with an Invoice Reference Number (IRN) and a QR code, in line with the VAT (e-Invoicing) Regulations and current MRA specifications.

What is real-time fiscalisation, and what is the IRN + QR for?

When an invoice is issued, Innovage transmits the invoice data to the MRA in real time. Once validated, the MRA returns a unique Invoice Reference Number (IRN) and a QR code. Both are printed or shown on the invoice issued to the customer. This applies to invoices, credit notes and debit notes. The QR code lets anyone — including an inspector — confirm that the invoice was fiscalised.

Who must issue e-invoices in Mauritius, and from when?

The e-invoicing mandate has been phased by turnover under the VAT (e-Invoicing) Regulations. Large taxpayers (turnover above MUR 100 million) came into scope from 15 May 2024; the third wave (turnover above MUR 80 million) follows in 2025–2026. Always verify the latest scope and timing with the MRA.

What about the VAT registration threshold change?

The standard VAT rate in Mauritius is 15%. The compulsory VAT registration threshold was lowered to MUR 3 million of annual taxable turnover from 1 October 2025 (from the previous MUR 6 million). Businesses in that band that were not previously VAT-registered now fall under compulsory registration. Verify the latest with the MRA.

How is personal data protected?

Innovage is registered with the Mauritius Data Protection Office as a data controller and as a data processor under the Data Protection Act 2017. Personal data is processed on lawful bases, encrypted in transit and at rest, with principle-of-least-privilege access controls and full audit logging of sensitive actions.

What happens to our records if we stop using Innovage?

Your records remain yours. A full, structured export of statutory records is available at any time, and explicitly at exit — without ransom or friction.
